RLMT Before Interview

Hi I was having a role of an Analyst from past 8 months and then my employer readbertized another RLMT for AM role and the interview process began simultaneously so now is it mandatory to have the rlmt only after the interview?

Interview had happend 10 months back, so now they have given me this role with just 1 stage causal talk, important thing is that I had applied for AM role only earlier then they said am still not fit for AM role.

Now its up to management right ro consider me for AM role with the old interview itself.
