Residency status

Post by Ana123 » Thu Aug 02, 2018 9:44 pm

Hello,

I turned 5 years this year and I should be eligible to apply for residency. However, in between these 5 years I lived in the USA for about 8 months as I was studying abroad. I read that are multiple reasons that you can be outside the country for more than 6 months and studying could be one of them but I couldn't find a confirmation. I was registered at the university in the UK and paying tuition here.

Do you know anything about this case? Will my study abroad affect my residency status?

Thank you.

Ana
