Thanks bizman,
You should be fine using the old form and presenting that at the premium service center as they are still operating until the end of November with the old application form. If I were you I would not lose that appointment booking for your life!board2018 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 7:27 pmI have a question about my application. I filled in the previous set m form by downloading it and filling it in but just realised yesterday there is a new online application form from 1st November.
I booked a premium appointment for 16th November and still have the completed old form. Back in October I even completed my settlement check service with the previous form.
Now I’m conserned if I need to apply online or if I can still use my old form. I’ve tried contacting the premium centre to check but no luck. I don’t want to turn up with the wrong form!?! Then again I don’t want to fill in the form again online if I can still use the previous one.
Any advise would be much appreciated.

Paper application form withdrawn, you must now apply online.
Transitional arrangements for specified forms used in postal and courier applications wrote: 34Y. Where an application is made no more than 21 days after the date on which a form is specified (within the meaning of paragraph 34) and on a form that was specified immediately prior to the date of the new specification, the application is deemed to have been made on the specified form (and is therefore not to be treated as invalid by reason only of being made on the “wrong” form).
Hi CR001 your first comment is pretty straight forward that I should use the online application but the second comment says otherwise and my previous form is not invalid. Please can you clarify what you mean by this? Thanks so much.CR001 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 8:11 pmvinny wrote: ↑Thu Nov 01, 2018 8:05 pmArchived paper forms.1 November 2018

I didn't write the second 'comment', was merely quoting what fellow moderator vinny posted earlier and the link to the rules (the heading of the para is the link).board2018 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 8:23 pmHi CR001 your first comment is pretty straight forward that I should use the online application but the second comment says otherwise and my previous form is not invalid. The link clearly says you can use the most recent dated paper form within 21 days after any update/change in application forms.
So I had an open application for naturalisation as I was trying to book an appointment with a local council before submitting the application online. I have now received the update for the new service on the online form itself. Most councils have stopped the NCS and NDRS element of the process. On the online form it says that once you pay the fees, you will then be offered an appointment within the next 5 days (doubt this). From 5th November a centre in manchester and london offer this service. More centre locations are being added from the 12th november and further more a week down etc. I am not sure if I submit and pay that i will get an appointment within the next 5 days given that there are currently only 2 centres. Has anyone actually finished the online form, paid the fees and booked an appointment ? Could do with some help/info. As I cant apply for naturalisation after the 23rd November so not sure if post payment I will get an appointment in time.
Thanks Kautya, that's really useful information. If you could post in the citizenship board it might be easier for others like us to see. Confusion reigns about the new centres and, as you point out, you are required to pay first, then book appointment. I share your concerns.kautya wrote: ↑Mon Nov 05, 2018 11:30 amSo I had an open application for naturalisation as I was trying to book an appointment with a local council before submitting the application online. They have also said on the page that the timelines of your application will be confirmed during the appointment itself. Nothing on the page has given any clarification about JCAP so not sure if that is included or not in the service.
Please see the attached linkShahno wrote: ↑Mon Nov 05, 2018 11:24 pmHi everyone,
I just have a quick question if anyone can help. We're in the process of preparing my daughter's MN1 application. In light of the new application system taking place, can we still use the paper form and send it by post? I went through the links provided but I couldn't find anything mentioned about the paper forms. Or shall we just wait and apply after the new system takes place and use the online application instead?
Thank you very much
