AN Form Help - Part time - possible law violation

Post by ketank » Thu Aug 09, 2018 10:30 am

Hello All,

I think I have violated student visa law but just wanted to confirm here and have couple questions.

- Course dates - Sep 2009 to Nov 2010 (written exams were finished by June/July 2010.. dissertation submission deadline was Sep 03, 2010)
- Student Visa - valid until Jan 2011 (got PSW on Dec 2010... all other visas (Tier 2, Tier 2 Ext, ILR) and work have been in order)

I worked full time (like 170 hrs on a min national wage (5.30 GBP/hour)) in August 2010. The reason I believe I violated the law because I submitted my dissertation on 3rd Sep 2010. So, technically, I worked full time during term time. Am I correct in assuming that I violated the student visa rules?

So, if my Naturalisation application is rejected, then do I have to wait until 2020/21 (given that I broke the law in Aug 2010) or 2028 (assuming 10 year ban here)?

Thank you in advance!
KK

Moderators - please could you help? I have an appointment to submit the documents on 23rd Aug. Thinking if I should postpone my application until 2021.

Regards,
KK
