same sex dependant visa from India , sponsor tier 2 .

Post by jona2529 » Mon Aug 13, 2018 2:16 pm

Hi friends,
Firstly i would like to say how grateful I am to have found this forum as it has helped me with lots of genuine suggestions that has helped me and many other friends who are on this site. thank you !
Now let me introduce myself , i am a doctor from india who recently got myself registered with the gmc and i have got a job offer and will be leaving soon in october this year, However i would like to take my long term partner my gf along with me on a dependant same sex visa, i have a lot of queries regarding this and have searched a lot online , however didnt find much information.
we do have a immigration consultant who told us about the documents we need to collect, however i dont know how far it is genuine.
I would like to know if my gf needs to clear ielts exam to be granted the visa and also to work in the uk ? she has done her mba and is working in India.
Also we are having some issues getting the tenancy agreement from the landlord with whom we stayed for more than 2 years together as a live in relationship.
You people must be aware as how certain things are in India , during that time he didnt give us any agreement it was all made verbal as he is one of our close friends uncle and was kind enough to rent us his penthouse for a small amount of rent.
can anyone give any suggestion as how to go about this please ?
can we get a letter from him instead with any of his ID as proof ?
please guide us as we love each other a lot and have already been separated by family and feel very depressed.
hope to get some positive response
thank you friends for taking time to read this

No she does not.

As unmarried partners, you need a lot of rock solid evidence of at least two years living together 'in a relationship akin to marriage' showing joint financial commitments etc. A tenancy agreement or letter from landlord alone is not sufficient.

Hy ,
Thanks a lot for the reply and information , yes yes we are collecting a lot of other evidences like photos , whatsapp chats , call logs , money transfer in our accounts , various bills to the same address , trips tickets , hotel bookings and so on... can you please add some more documents that we can collect please ? and also she has been maintaining 630 gbp in her bank account , however this covers only 30 days , she has a joint account with her mother which has around 1200 gbp as fixed deposit past few years , can we show this as a proof of maintaining funds to cover up the remaining 30 days ?
please advice

Will the letter from landlord be accepted ? if so is there any specific format that has to be followed ? or can it just state that we were staying in his property for these many years and the rent was how much ever we were paying ? and signed by him ? should we also include any ID proof of his? or will it be accepted only if its written on a bond /stamp paper ?

Hi Jona2529,

Do you have any update? How did your Visa application go?

I have an update for you, if you both are ready to take your relation to next level, you can get married or enter into civil partnership in Denmark or South Africa. I would suggest South Africa as it's easy to obtain visa and get married.

Thanks
