Any information please?peacefultraveller wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 12:51 amHow many photographs are required if using NDRS please?
2 for referees
2 with application
And another 2 with the passport (British) application
So do I need 6 photos in total or am I reading this wrong?
And also for the part in the passport if the parents details are Unknown even if they are born abroad what can be done? (Parents not British and don’t live in Britain)
And also the part about naturalization : as we still haven’t received the certificate, do you tick “no “ in the box of the passport application?
Many thanks
1. Some get some don't. HO don't communicate with you every step of the process so don't expect any handholding. They will communicate with you if they require something otherwise only once a decision is made.peacefultraveller wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 12:09 pmDoes anyone know if we receive an acknowledgment letter when home office receives our pack when it’s sent via the NDRS or do we receive correspondence when they approve or decline or refer the application?
How is naturalization certificate sent?
And how are the passport sent?
Is it all sent via Royal Mail or DX couriers?
Could someone please inform?
Correct, second class post. So, once the application is decided that response is sent to us via post, correct?
Approval comes from HO. Some get the ceremony letter first (few), but mostly you get HO's letter first. Will there be a situation where we don’t hear from HO at but a letter of response be sent to the council only?
I.e for booking ceremony etc?
Which passports are you referring to??Are we notified when the passports are dispatched or we aren’t?
(So it could be sent via courier or via Royal Mail?)
There is a set process. Not sure what exactly you are referring to??I thought they have a set standard for this entire process, considering we are “paying” for a service regardless of it being a privilege to have or not.
If you apply online, I understand you get an email once you have submitted.Sending an acknowledgment as a “set standard/procedure” doesn’t do harm (just thinking out loud about this)
They use normal post.I know that HO don’t inform right through the entire way but however It would also be nice to be informed if they are using a courier or Royal Mail.
(Just a thought )
This one. There have been refusals even if the passport fee has been debited.or does it get debited regardless?
It is only NDRS that offers JCAP so not sure what you mean the above. That’s where I am confused as NDRS works differently to JCAP ( unless I am mistaken)?
No.peacefultraveller wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 3:16 pmSo, in a situation where the application is refused, does the HMPO fees get refunded at all pls?
Religious reasons.peacefultraveller wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 7:50 pm
Is it for the purpose of religious reasons that there is a purpose for the two different ones?
Any information please?peacefultraveller wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 7:17 pmThank you very much for all the replies and information.
And how long after attending the ceremony the passports are sent out please?
And is it sent via DX Couriers?

Passport needs to be separately applied which allows you to choose (during your application) what delivery method you would like to receive your documents. Passport itself is delivered via DX, Yes!
One more thing, the above advise applies if you applied for BN online or using paper, if you have used JCAP - Joint Citizenship & Passport Application, then passport will be processed as part of your original application once after you attend your citizenship ceremony, timescales vary.
