There is no news about minor approvals, sorry.

I have a question, maybe somebody knows the answer as our situation shouldn't be unique. I applied for my child's naturalization about a year ago. The child was 16 years old at the time of the application, but while we are waiting for the outcome I guess we will celebrate his 18th birthday (it will be in this autumn). What should I expect to happen with his application in this case if my son becomes an adult while his application as a minor is still in progress? Anybody faced with a similar situation?

Hi Kbhattik,
I wonder if you have received your child's Citizenship certificate yet.
I also received my child's approval in March and sent the requested bank draft and passport photos which were received on 22/03/2019. I have been waiting for the certificate to be sent by post since then.
Do you know if it usually takes this long for children's certificate to be posted?
Initially, I felt they were waiting for the citizenship ceremonies before posting out the certificates, but this is now a month after, and still nothing.
Please, anyone else with similar experience can chip in as well.
Thanks

Did you send your final documents to Minor certificates section? Are they informed that it will take 6 weeks to reach you after 28 days ...so it will take maximum 11 weeks

Hi.

A friend of mine applied for his daughter on 29/01/2019. He has not got a word from citizenship division since.

He wrote them and got her passport back but without any reference number or fee receipt.

I have. I applied for son (16y) in June 2018, got nothing. I know they have a different process for teenagers, for example, they request Garda report for them. I have a big uncertainty about what will happen when my son will reach the age of 18 while still in processing. Do they cancel his application as a minor? Do they request extra documents? Do they request to pay 950 instead of 200? Do they request to attend the ceremony? I have no answers to these questions. I didn't find any answers in any official documents. I even can't ask the INIS itself because they don't respond.

Hi.

Just email them with subject
" urgent passport return". it took nearly a month. They did not reply but sent passport back without any fee receipt or citizen reference number.

I applied in 1st week of August for my child. They sent me letter last week with reference number but didn’t return the original passport. Is it usual that they keep passport?
