Visit Visa Refused

Post by asadq7 » Mon Aug 20, 2018 3:08 pm

Hi Guys

My in laws visit visa was refused because
Stated £2500 income but a month before he deposited £12000 & £4800 into his account. This is the only reason, stating they are accepting the fact he is self employed but cannot ascertain the reason for the deposits and his income.

We plan to reapply next week with paperwork correlating to the above amounts.

Quoted "I am not satisfied your financial circumstances are as you have set out."

He is self employed so large transactions are not unusual in his bank account. Are we ok to reapply stating where the 2 amounts they mentioned derived from or should we wait?

It was for Him, Mother in law and brother in law. They refused all 3 as it was a family application.

We want my MIL here by end of September due my first child.. Should we just sponsor my MIL first and FIL and BIL apply after or all Apply again correcting the refusal reason.

Any Advice greatly appreciated.

I guess they treated the large deposits as suspicious, specially if there was no evidence of similar large deposits in the previous months... and especially if the deposits were not "explained" either, they stand out from the norm.
If those funds were indeed from another account, it would have been better to show that account separately as bearing sufficient additional funds, rather than transfering into the account which you provided statements for.

Probably re-apply only for your MIL .. I would recommend including a cover letter acknowledging the previous rejection, explain the funds and their source this time, since they will know there was a previous rejection and their rationale for it..
