I have ILR, and my son who was born in the UK (he's 2), has just recently applied for registration as a british citizen and a british passport now that I have got ILR status.
Prior to this, he has been travelling on a Malaysian passport since his birth and was previously a dependent on my wife's Tier 2 (she also now has ILR).
Question: We are still waiting to get his British passport and confirmation that he is now a citizen (application made 3 weeks ago, before his previous leave expired on 14/8/2018), can we still travel on his Malaysian passport in the meantime? As a Malaysian, we do not need a visa to enter/leave the UK for max 6 months (tourist). I am also not clear as to what his immigration status is now, as he was born here (although he is waiting for his British passport). Have a holiday booked for next week and I am nervous!
