Moving to a different role

Post by mhib » Tue Sep 18, 2018 2:36 pm

Hi,

I am on tier 2 visa and working in a role classed in an (Other engineers not classed - SOC code 2129). My company is now thinking about moving me to a new role that is a role that has its own specific code (The job title is listed under another SOC for engineering). Would I be able to move into that role or would that have to do a new COS and Visa?

My visa conditions clearly states that I am only allowed to move into role if it is different SOC. However, it does not explain if you are moving from a general SOC to a specific one?

Thanks alot

you need new COS and new visa.
