You can travel on your foreign passport with BRP anytime before attending the ceremony, if you attend the ceremony and received your naturalisation certificate then you can not travel by using BRP, so before you attend your ceremony you free to go on your foreign passport with BRP.

You must BOOK your ceremony within 21 days!!
You must ATTEND the ceremony within 90 days!!
Call and book your ceremony for when you are back in the UK after travelling.

Yes, all uncancelled passports.
On page 5 of the guide Section 3, it explains and also what a 'cancelled passport' would look like and what constitutes an 'uncancelled passport'.

If you are thinking of making a passport application now, stop.
You need to give the Citizenship Certificate number, how can you do that until you have received the Certificate?

Have you read the guide Page 5 Section 3? cos it says there "all uncancelled passports" and "(British or another country"), I would think that if a previous Passport has been "
cancelled by its issuing authority
(British or another country)" then it would not be required (if you have it in your possession still).
Everyone must fill in section 3A.
Uncancelled passports
In part B, enter details of all uncancelled
passports that you are sending us.
A cancelled passport has the top right-hand
corner of the cover cut off. An uncancelled passport
has not been cancelled by its issuing authority
(British or another country). This may include:
an expired passport (one that has run out)
passports you are or were included on (for
example, as a child), and
passports issued to you by other countries.

On the 13/09/18 I posted my first application for a UK passport after naturalisation.
As Ancestor says if the passports are cancelled they are not required. I enclosed only my current German passport, even though I have still in my possession passports going back to the 1960’s.
My UK passport arrived 8 days after applying, paper form by post and I receivied an acknowledgement and three updates. HMPO obviously have a different criteria for treating applicants than for naturalisation.

(Realistic times, not the ones in theory please)
Thanks

In December 2016 my passport online application took 10 workdays which included an interview (rare these days).
