During the period I called the Home Office contact number to get an update but they did not help. I also called my local council to see if they had the certificate as yet as I knew the letter would be second class. They were helpful and I knew on Friday 09/11 that the case was approved based on my conversation with my local council.

Total 29 Days from Application to Approval. Worst thing about the process is the use of second class post! The delay meant we had to spend £100 on a private ceremony as my mum is booked to fly out in late December!
