Hi there
I am applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK by 5-year route under spouse visa "SET M"(my husband is British) and I have a question with regards to the income threshold. I have been employed for the past two months with a new employer and I have a salary above £18600 required. Prior to that, I was employed somewhere else where I was on permanent employment for over a year (again over the annual salary of £18600). I am intending to quit my current job with an immediate effect and I am using the fast track service to apply for ILR on 7th November. I will still get a payslip at the end of the month (October) for the 10 days that I worked. However, at the time I apply, I will be unemployed. The question is:
1- Do you have to be employed at the time of application to use the route of income from salaried employment?
2- To meet the income threshold, would I go through Category B or A? If Cat B, how will the caseworker work out my annual salary?
Many thanks in advance
