Once you complete the online application, you have a limited time period to submit/send the supporting documentation.

Note that the increase has not yet been approved for implementation.

Hi

Thanks for the information

How much time exactly will I have after paying the online fees ( to send the bank statement, BRP, and Passport by post)

Just to reiterate my scenario my wife visa was issued on 10-01-2017, Her visa is valid till 9-11-2018, She entered the UK on 17-02-2018. So for her to complete the 5 years with the extension of 3 years will be tough. Since I presume that the 5 years will be calculated from the day of her entry. Will it be possible to ask for 3 years + extension since I am in ILR (I presume the maximum extension is allowed is 3 years). I recollect the moderator CR001 info that we can apply for ILR 28 days before expiry. Since she is short of 2 and a half months (if the day is calculated from first entry to UK)

Date of visa issue originally is the start of the qualifying period but as she entered the Uk more than a year after her visa was issued, per your post, her entry date is likely the one that is relevant.

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online. You will have between 10 and 15 days to send the supporting documents, the sooner the better really to avoid an invalid application rejection.

You cannot apply for more than a 3 year extension as clearly stated in the immigration rules.

Hi

I missed typed the year the visa was issued on 10-01-2018 and not 2017. So she will be just short of 2 and a half months months

It is counted from date of visa issue date, so she will qualify for ILR no sooner than within 28 days before 10th January 2023.

If she gets a 3 year extension now, she will still be short by almost a year and will require a 3rd extension before ILR.
