Call my wife on Visitor Visa and later on Dependent Visa

Hi,

I am on a Tier 2 Work permit Employer sponsored Visa. I have an extension coming in couple of months and my Employer would not apply Dependent Visa for my wife until I get the renewed Visa after extension.

So, I am thinking to call my wife on Visitors Visa (lets say for 6 months) and hoping in that duration my extension will get sorted and post which my wife will go back to home country(India) and then will go for dependent Visa for my wife through my company so that she can again enter UK from my home country(India)?

Can somebody please advise if there is a cool off applicable if she is on Visitors Visa and then returning to home country and coming back on Dependent Visa with in a short duration(2 months)?

It is not your sponsor that applies for or sponsors your dependents visa. It is YOU.

My company actually applies from India by taking all details from me.
So, does that mean she can not immediately(after 2 months) enter UK through Dependent Visa after her visitors Visa gets over??

You don't need your sponsor to do her visa, you can do it yourself.

Sure, I can do it, but will there be any problem of refusal in Visa when re-entering UK in shot span on a tier 2 dependent Visa just after visitor Visa?

I was referring to applying for the dependent visa not the visitor visa. You can do the PBS dependent visa yourself.

Unlikely your wife will get a visitor visa without strong ties to home country, usually difficult to prove when the spouse is in the UK.

UK visitor visa and PBS Dependent visas are two different visas and rules. Not sure why you think they are linked in some way re entering the UK shortly after the other.
