After reading all the comments/experiences with the department, I would share mine too. I applied in the scheme on 17 Oct and within two days of submission my status changed from '' submitted'' to '' Completed''. Most of my friends asked me to email them which i did (thrice) and got the same generic answer. Till to date no reply from the department which is frustrating and upsetting. I never changed my stamp and studied full time (obviously survived on part time work too) , did my masters and have been living in ireland since 2009.

Two of the comments caught my eye, They got their letters once status changed to completed but mine is completed since 19 OCT 2018??? what the heck!!! :( :( :(

Take a screenshot and attach it in the email.

State that you are contacting them to ensure your letter didn't get lost as the online portal states your application is completed.

I don't know how some of you guys applied so fast. It took me months to collect all documents and ask friends for reference letters

I spent two full nights scanning documents and uploading. I had every doc ready as i was expecting the law and most of its requirement in general.

I am sorry to hear your struggles. If they replied and told you something along the lines of your application will be processed in time, it probably means they havent done it yet. The website thing could be just an IT error. I don't think they would ignore your email if it was indeed processed.

I honestly dont know. If this happened to me I would have probably drop into their office and ask to talk to someone from Unit 1 Division. However they often brush off people so I am not sure if it would work for you.

Thanks for sharing that information.

I don't know if the TD I asked to follow up on the update will be able to do it. She is busy with elections. If she did, it should appear on parliamentary question site sometime this week.

So keep an eye out guys and if you see anything post it here.

I do not understand how people are getting their responses so fast and some of us still here with no feedback at all from Nov and Oct.Atleast if they could've asked for information or something I will understand the delay but nothing at all :!: :!: :shocking.

Okay so I got an update. To the date they have done 1170 applications.

That's a third and 370 applications per month.

Aaah that’s disastrous. They won’t be finished until the new year :(

Yeah it's devastating. I was hoping they would be at 1400 at least by now. I don't really know what's going to happen at this stage and what future holds.

Total Applications: 3100

To-date:

Decision made : 1066
Approved: 1052
Refused: 114

Review Submitted: 45
Review Refused: 14

I think we have to wait 4-5 months. Roughly.
