Hi, actually it’s been 7 months since last submission.. I’m still waiting like everybody.. They asked me for proof that I still remain in the country.. Sent everything I have including references from Irish citizens.
In my point of view the passport is the best proof, but don’t really know what they’re looking for..

I am in the same situation too. I applied on november and they asked me for some additional documents on may. I submitted those documents after 2 days and the online portal shows submitted (1) again. And one of my friend said a guy he knows got his application completed and got the letter last week and he applied on november too. And do you guys know if anyone got their application rejected. This is soo stressfull :(

I don't think there is any sequence of how the applications are dealt with. I know confirmed cases where people who arrived in Ireland later and still got their applications results. At this stage, we can ask our local TD to raise this question in the Parliament. This is completely unfair when we already have a Supreme Court's decision present. The department should provide some sort of update on our cases.

I had other plans if I didn't get my VISA, but since I am waiting on my application decision I can't move forward. This is just complete waste of Time.

If they are so law abiding, so be it, but don't let people hanging for no reason. They should have atleast provided everybody with some temporary visas so that people could have atleast visited their families, gone for medical treatments etc.

I am going to reach out to my Local TD today.

I am actually getting reply within hours but they are making unreasonable demands and documents which I have already submitted. Its frustrating seriously

Hi Fasbir,

Could you please tell us, What are you asking them and what are their replies? and what type of demands/documents they are asking you. Could you also give us your history like:
a) when you arrived in Ireland
b) when did you apply for the scheme
c) How many times have they asked you for further information?

Thanks

Hey Slainte. His stamp changed to stamp 4 and by the way Stamp 1G is not considered change of stamp to other categories as mentioned on INIS website as its still student type visa. I had both 1A and 1G. Be relaxed you won't be given any trouble for changing to 1G. :D

Slainte,

Check this out.

3.2.have held a student type permission since then or held a minimum of 2 years
registered student permission including
 Trainee Accountants - Stamp 1A
 Graduate Stamp 1G
 Temporary Stamp 1 (without the need for an employment permit).
Please note this refers to permissions granted by INIS for temporary
periods to certain persons who, at that time, held a student type
permission.
This does not include persons who held an employment permit and an
immigration permission under Stamp 1 conditions.
 Student – Stamp 2
 Student – Stamp 2A
