Sorry for the late reply as I was travelling. Just landed in London.
The salary in the RLMT is 55K.
I am receiving 40K salary but this is not to trick Home Office as the minimum was 21K.
The reason I am receiving 40K is because my employer provides me with accommodation for 15K a year (55-40 difference). So they deduct that from my salary (55K), and thus I receive 40K.
But I am not sure if HMRC likes that or if it is legal..
Would much appreciate your advise as I spoke to my employer about it but they said it is alright (even though I don't much agree and agree with you).
