ILR Application using old premium service

Post by Shw » Mon Jan 14, 2019 10:49 pm

Hi,
I posted the below topic
ILR Application using old premium service
Post by Shw » Sun Jan 13, 2019 12:00 am

Hi All,
I have submitted my SET (o) ilr application using 5 year Tier 2 dependant route today I.e. 12/01/2019. It gave me 2 options new and existing service. I opted for Glasgow PSC using existing service and booked apointment for 31/01/2019. Online it says old premium service centres have closed, so I am confused how did I get an appointment? Also, using this service, will I get the decision same day as it use to be earlier? Or are there any changes? Ideally, I would prefer an appointment in England, are there any chances I could find more appointments sometime soon? Has anyone used old PSC system recently? Can anyone share experience?

Online applications, UKVCAS appointments & BRP queries - Read before you post

Old PSCs can be used until the end of Jan only for very few routes and NOT the SET(O) !!

QUESTION:-
Hi Zimba,
I have gone through the link you posted and it nowhere says that the old PSC services can't be used for ILR (SET O) applications. It only says that all PSC services are now closed but since there are limited appointments available till Jan, I believe this is not entirely true. Where does it say which application are to be processed in these limited appointments? Am i missing something there? Is there any other link which mentions that?
I have submitted the application online and on booking appointment page it gave me 2 options to either use new service or use existing service. It even mentions while booking that "due to limited appointments in existing PSC if you dont find an appointment, it will give you option to go back and apply for new service". In my case, I opted the old PSC service and luckily I found some appointments in Glasgow and Belfast. If existing service is not to be used for SET (O), why do you even get an option?
From what I read at few places, it says it's difficult to find appointments and since new service is open for SET (O) and hence it's easy to use new services but it nowhere says old PSC can't be used. Do you have any information on this? Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,
Sorry I just found the below link and it says you can still use it though the appointments are very limited.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/ukvis-new-f ... kvcas-list

Based on this, is my assumption correct?

It does also say set O settlement must use new service and only very specific routes, ie domestic violence or flr FP can use existing PSC service.

Hi CR001,
Can you please highlight where does it specifically say that ? I am not able to find anything where it says that.
I am bit concerned now because on the link it says you have a choice if you apply for ILR as PBS dependent and It doesn't specify any timelines for that choice. And what you and zimba have been saying is very different.
Sorry for the inconvenience but it would be great if you could help?

Hi CR001 and Zimba,
I tried to contact Home office and PSC center to get more information on this post your comments. I also sent emails to apply online and PSC refund. I got an email back from them saying if I managed to get an appointment, I am lucky and I should go with my booked appointment. They said services are limited as they are still in transition phase but they can be availed till January end and there is no restriction that you can't use this for SET (O).
Hence, I went ahead with my ILR SET (O) appointment at PSC Croydon today and I got my ILR approved without any questions. I just thought I will post this here so that it could help anyone who is in dilemma like I was.

Thanks
