ILR online bank statement acceptable?

Post by thepaperdress » Tue Jan 26, 2021 8:19 pm

Hi all, I'm applying for my ILR visa. I went into the HSBC bank branch today to ask for printed copies of my bank statements, which they printed for me in black & white and they look exactly like the online statements. They said they were unable to provide a cover letter or stamp the statements to make them look more official (I've also read on forums that HSBC don't stamp their statements).

They included the temporary statement which looks like it was typed on a typewriter - with no HSBC logo or details.

My question is - is the temporary statement acceptable? In addition, could I just use the online statements as they are in colour? I have separately requested printed versions via HSBC online banking, but worried they'll take up to 2 weeks to arrive. In the meantime, I need to put my application in tomorrow!

Thanks for your help.

Another question - one of the questions on the ILR application for ancestry visa holder is what my monthly salary is. I am part-working part-furloughed and have been furloughed at different levels throughout the past year, causing my salary to fluctuate. I am currently working 4 days per week and furloughed one day per week.

So, what should I state in answer to the question: What is your pay each month after income tax and other deductions? (in GBP)

2 queries in relation to this:
1. Do I state my normal base salary or try to work out an average from my furlough payments?
2. Does my employer need to state in the letter that I'm furloughed and how much I'm working vs furlough?

Thanks in advance!

Share code when between Ancestry Visa & ILR

Post by thepaperdress » Fri Apr 23, 2021 5:26 pm

Hello, hoping someone is able to provide some info. My ancestry visa finished at the end of February, and I applied for IRL one month before it ended, so still awaiting a decision. I have not been given any proof/bridging visa in the interim, I just have the receipt from when I applied.

I have just applied for a mortgage and the bank has asked for my new visa (which has not yet been granted) or my share code. Does anyone know if the share code even applies to my situation?

Whilst still awaiting a decision on IRL, or is there any other way I can provide proof to the bank? I just tried to apply via the website but it didn't generate a code and said it didn't recognise my details. Please help!
