ILR Long Residence Application Enquiry

Post by jwphee8811 » Mon Dec 13, 2021 5:19 pm

Hello everyone,

I am planning to apply for ILR Long Residence in the nearest future and have an enquiry in regards to declaring absences.
This is my 12th year living in the UK and entered the UK in 2009 with Tier 4 visa.
I have been on Tier 4 visa from 2009 till 2018.
My question is, what documentations should I get ready to provide evidence for 'declaration of absences' during that period when I was on Tier 4?
Currently I am on Tier 2 visa and I have the absence declaration letters provided by the employer.
Do I need to request something like this from the Universities I studied in?
Would you recommend organising the documents via a solicitor?

Many thanks,

You fill the absence in the form where asked and submit scanned copies of all stamped pages and bio page of all passports.

A solicitor has no benefit or influence on an application.

ILR(LR) Enquiry

Post by jwphee8811 » Mon Dec 27, 2021 6:10 pm

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this.
While filling in my application for ILR (LR), I realised that there is a limitation to the number of countries (30 at most) you can add in the 'Where did you spend time outside the UK?' section.

I have travelled more than 30 times/countries in the last 12 years of my stay in the UK (within the requirement of 180days at most and & 540 days in total).

If I only add the countries/number of trips I have made in the last 10 years, then I am within the cut off of 30.
Which means I would be excluding the trips between 2009-2011 (I entered the UK in 2009).
Would this be ok?

Many thanks,

That is simply a limitation on the form. Use a spreadsheet to include all absences and upload later as part of your documents
