Leaving Kids with Grandparents, Impact on Application?

Post by 1maryam » Mon Oct 16, 2023 1:57 am

Hello, I'm the main applicant for a UK student visa, and my husband will be my dependent. We have two children, aged 6 and 11, and we're considering leaving them with their grandparents while my husband and I apply together. Would this decision affect our visa application in any way? Your insights would be much appreciated!

Thank you.

If the course starts on or after 1 January 2024, which it appears that it would, you cannot bring dependants anyway, including your spouse.

Thank you for your comments. The course is actually beginning at the end of November or the start of December 2023. I'm not sure if my kids can join me after 2024 if my course commences before January 1, 2024.

The link I posted includes the details, including the rule change for dependants of Students courses start on or after 1 Jan 2024.
