visit visa - third party sponsor allowed ?

Post by amserve » Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:36 pm

Hi

I am considering sponsoring my friend's brother to the UK on a visit. As my friend is not working and has very little saved, I want to sponsor his brother who is no relation to me. Is this possible ? Do the home office allow third party support/sponsorship ? And, since the applicant would live with his brother, accomodation requirements would have to be met by his brother, right ? Finally, I have ILR but do not have UK nationality - is this likely to be a problem ?

Any suggestions ?

thanks vinny

but I can't see where the guidance tells me if i can sponsor as third party. Also whether the fact that i dont have citizenship (just ilr) is acceptable as a sponsor.

I believe that anyone may sponsor a visitor.
