urgent help needed .... ILR QUERY

Post by ssm » Tue Apr 21, 2009 11:34 pm

Hi

PLEASE DON'T IGNORE MY QUERY..PLS READ IT..

I have been here in UK on HSMP for 5 years. I am about to apply ILR.

Before my extension 3 years ago i worked for 2 companies for 3 months. I recently came to know that the second company i worked for they didn't pay tax and NI to government on behalf of me but they issued me payslips showing that they paid tax and NI. They also deposited my pay in bank. Now that company doesn't exist. They closed it.

I extended my hsmp visa based on the second company. As this company didn't not pay tax and NI, do you think is there any problem for my ILR? What exactly case worker look on their system to grant us ILR?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

How did you come to know they didn't pay tax and NI even though you have got payslips which you have used for extension ? Normally it is employer should pay the taxes and P60 should reflect this.

Did you receive any communication from HMRC and NI office. Provide more details if you would like to get suggestions.

I don't think it would be a problem if your payslips say you plaid NI, and it was only for three months. But do you also have a P60?

Also, have you been working for another company that does pay taxes for the past three years?
