Dependent to Tier1 Visa Rejected

Post by Sasha25 » Wed Nov 04, 2009 9:15 am

Hi,
Really in a very Bad situation..I live in London on hsmp dependent visa and switching to a tier1, I had to apply from home country so applied on 14th oct from VFS hyd, Got a rejection letter today.. Lack of maintainace funds points awarded 0.I was applying along with my husband as dependent.

I showed my Canara bank and Natwest bank ISA account for £1100(which is accepted) and Kotak bank term deposit bank statement for 3 months. In the statement I had clearly highlighted that the amount is ‘Liquid Asset’ for Rs1,60,000. For some reason ECO chose to ignore this.

As per letter ‘ This amount is unacceptable as it does not show that you have access to this amount’

Also I had shown additional 3lacs in my husbands Citibank account. Which should have been more than sufficient but refused ‘ Amounts not considered as available for principle applicant’. Whereas I had clearly mentioned in the cover letter that these funds are for dependent applicant. When applying together can’t we show funds from separate accounts?

Now my problem is admin review takes 3-6 months..and I have to be back at work in London couple of weeks..My visa expires in Jan, I was thinking would be faster if I could apply again, new application..and not that I would need any additional documents I will try get a better letter from Kotak.

Should I apply for admin review wait out for 3 months, come back and get stamped ? I would still need to be back in UK during this period. Or should I apply for a new application which will cost me more for one but also I have a visa rejection now on my passport. Would it have an adverse affect?

Really confused need some advice from this forum help me decide. I need it done asap as I might risk loosing my job which I love.

Thanks a lot!
