How do solicitors work?

Post by pkumar » Tue Nov 17, 2009 6:51 pm

So if i go to solicitor for ILR (given that i feel my case is weak for me to file). What special do that do? Do they also go personally and file it (like primium service where you can talk to case worker incase of any query)? I guess they will do extra paperwork (right paperwork in there terms)... but what else?

Experienced / Seniors your input will be greatly appreciated.

Why do you think your case is weak? If you dont meet the requiremnets, solicitor may not be able to help at all. But if its some how complicated, they might be able to. Would be helpful to know why you think their might be an issue with your ILR application.

As for what can solicitor do, that would vary from solicitor to solicitor. Some are good some are not, just like every other profession. So the extend of the work they will do would depend on that.

if you go for solicitors then you have two options, solicitor can post your application and charge you a good fees, or solicitor can get a premium appointment and go himself to represent you and charge you a fortune.

believe you me you are the best solicitor for yourself , if your case is week put it on this forum and seniors will make it strong.

prepare your case efficiently, don't leave any loopholes, take help from this forum and get a premium appointment if possible
