Visa refused reference no. quest.6.3 prsnl details

Post by mno2uk » Sun Nov 22, 2009 11:35 am

1) what should i answer for this question in person details form :

6.3 Have you ever been refused a visa for any country including the UK?

I applied visa under another category earlier and was refused - -- my passport has an entry on one of the pages in some number format

Is that no. the one they call as reference no. ? Guidance notes for personal details form mention just the reference no. ..

Guys please suggest .. Thank you.

2) Also is it okay to do some small withdrawals in the account for maintenance funds and the salary is also deposited in it .. so is it okay ? or should i stop any kind of money in n out from there ?

Please suggest.

Thank you all and Good luck .. :)

ok so account activity is a good thing to show.. Thanks Ramesh

and i meant writing the reference no. will suffice ..as they ask all other information as well .. date .. reason etc.. i feel they can query that from the ref. no itself..

Regards

Sushil,

I have only the reference no. which i presume is the one on my passport pages for the visa i was refused fr UK earlier. I do not have other details like date, reason :( where can i get those ?

Also even the VAF 9 guidance notes mentions as if only the reference no. is required--

"6.3 Have you ever been refused a visa for any country including the UK?
Answer ‘Yes / No’
If ‘Yes’ please provide details below
If you were refused a visa for the UK please enter either your Home Office reference number which is prefixed with the first letter of your family name, for example Smith = S12345 or your visa reference number in the following format XXX/123456 (the XXX is the country or post location abbreviation, for example New York is NYC)."

please suggest.

Why dont you know the reasons behind refusal of VISA? Refusal is a significant event and most ppl know/remember why it happened to their application? When was it refused?

I did it through a consultant and then appeal happened which was denied and so the papers for refusal went with the appeal. I donot have anything apart from the reference no. in my passport.

Push - What can be done for this now ?

Your agent have to provide you all details relevant to your application. If he has not provided you with same you have to chase him for the same. How would you know if your agent screwed up while applying or some of your evidences were not right? If you don't have rejection reason, what did you appeal against? I just hope your agent didn't took you for a ride.
