Got the Visa - Need Anawers To Questions

Post by sajidzaidi » Fri Nov 27, 2009 9:51 am

I am one of the Old HSMP scheme. I got HSMP on 27 February 2008. The visa was rejected and i opted to appeal. The appeal was successful and I got a three years visa few days back. Now i need some answers to allow me to step forward confidently.

1- How much maximum time can i take to move to uk?

2- i had heard that HSMP was for two years, how-come i have got a visa for three years?

3- Besides passports and IOM TB certificates, what else do in need to carry with me to the airport for immigration

4- Is there a forum where UK HSMP immigrants share their experiences?

please guide me on these issues

It is up to you within the Visa expiry period.

2- i had heard that HSMP was for two years, how-come i have got a visa for three years?

Your visa is Tier 1 (General) probably. HSMP is closed on 28th June 2008

3- Besides passports and IOM TB certificates, what else do in need to carry with me to the airport for immigration

Enough money to stay here and an address where you are going to stay. The immigration officer sometimes asks for the purpose you are here and your address

4- Is there a forum where UK HSMP immigrants share their experiences?

I would say you can't find a best forum than this one.

please guide me on these issues

Million thanks for the prompt reply.

Since my HSMP letter was issued on 27 Feb, 2008 (ie before HSMP was closed),

1- Shouldn't have they given me a two years vise?

2- After visa expiry, will i apply on HSMP basis of Tier - 1 basis?
