Urgent - Visa expiring

Post by siva28 » Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:29 pm

Hello All,

My visa is expiring on March 27, 2010 and my hsmp extension application is still with UKBA for processing, I know I can stay and work in UK until the decision has been made but my employer disagree this.

Could anyone please let me know whether UKBA site capture this Information If not please let me know what I need to do.

I can certainly call customer care but would like to get the info from this forum.

Thanks,
sanjay

get a letter from UKBA stating you are still eligible to live and work in the UK while your extension being processed

You could give your employer the HO number for Employers' Helpline 0300 123 4699 and they can confirm that you can work and stay in uk when your application is under consideration.

Not exactly the same case, but my colleague also have this problem when he applied for ILR. HO provided him a letter stating his status.

I just called HO, they said they cannot send / provide any letter. The employer needs to contact HO directly with the reference number for this situation.

Thanks for all for the replies. I will now send the above link and the required details to my employer. Hope everything will be alright I believe.

Thanks,
Sanjay
