ILR being revoked IO suspecting Fraud-Help!

Post by DRS1983 » Sat Jul 31, 2010 11:33 am

Hi Everyone,

I would really appreciate some help as a friend had ILR after being married to a UK citizen. However the Home Office have come to know that he has a previous wife and children which he had hidden from his UK wife and HO.

He has been interviewed by IO at the airport and they have took his passport from him and given him initial entry for further investigation in the UK for 7 days.

He has declared he had been divorced to the first wife before marrying the british wife. So they are asking for his divorce certificate which he doesn't have. He has took an extension for 5 days, then a further 7 days.

He has a child with the uk wife, but the HO have proof that his previous marriage exists. If he had been divorced at the time of marrying thr 2nd time around the Pakistani marriage deed would have stated so as there is a question asking Bridegroom's previous wife which he has not filled in.

Could you please advise what would happen if his ILR is revoked when he goes for his decision? Would he be deported? How soon would he have to return to his home country?

Also do you think he would have any chance at all if he were to appeal this?

Many thanks
