I want my stepdaughter and her baby to come to the uk

my step-daughter is 18 and has a 2 year old son her mother died from cancer 3 years ago she has been living with different friends whilst I have been sending her money to support herself and the baby.
I would like her come as a visitor but possibly settle am not sure how to apply.I am married to her father who has indefinate leave to remain and she has siblings here in the uk along with aunty and uncles.She has no other relatives in jamaica.Please can you help me.

Unfortunately, she cannot switch from a visitor to settlement within the UK. Moreover, getting a settlement visa is more difficult when she's over 18 (and with child). Is her baby's father not looking after them?
