Sponsor husband to UK - age 50+

Post by ghodke » Sun Dec 04, 2011 6:07 pm

I am 54yrs old woman. I got my British Citizenship in 2009 and came in 2010 to live in UK with my son and daughter in law. My son is an IT contractor and have kept me as secretary of his limited company. I keep his accounts and correspond with his accountant. He pays me £500 per month to help him with his company’s paperwork. I also work around 15 hours per week through agency temporary jobs as laundry assistant for which I get around £200 per month.

My husband is in India and has Indian passport. I live with my son and now want to sponsor my husband. Can I sponsor my husband with above mentioned financial activities? Will my age be a problem to sponsor my husband?

Your age won't affect the application, but will you have at least £105.95 remaining every week after paying rent or mortgage, council tax and any credit/loan repayments?

I am living with my son. He owns the property and will provide me with accomodation letter. He doesn't take rent or bills from me. So all my earnings are effectively my savings. My expense is like around £100 per month. So I am left with more than £150 per week after all my expenses.
