How long can we lawfully stay in UK after PSW is refused

Post by ssjpran » Fri Feb 24, 2012 3:42 am

Hi,

I have applied for a PSW visa on January 11th and received my acknowledgement letter on January 20th. However, I lost my bank card on jan 17th and had to block it for security reasons. I gave those card details for my visa fee and so it was not deducted. It has been more than a month and i haven't heard from them but i am sure that my visa will be rejected.

I would like to know what is the maximum period one can stay here with the rejected visa, as i have to make further arrangements for re-application or going back to my original country. And would also like to know if this will affect my future re-entry.

Thanking you

What did the acknowledgement letter say?

Perhaps you could submit your new payment before they declare the application as invalid? Else, you should not remain longer that 28 days after expiry of leave.
