Post by dolby1 » Thu Mar 21, 2013 2:40 pm

Hi all,

We (myself and my other half) received the letter from UKBA on the 19th saying about the new rules and how we are impacted by them.

But today received our approval letters dated 19th and documents.

Applied Feb 1st as self employed IT Consultant.

Acknowledgment received - 16th Feb

Biometrics received - 27th Feb

Completed biometrics - 1st March

Received approval - March 21st

Also I applied after my PSW expired but within 28 days of my PSW expiring.

Thank you all for the knowledge share and more importantly, Thank GOD!

Hi madina100,

Yes all the funds were in the UK but we had no queries, so we are still very excited.

hello,
what do you mean how, it is specifically mentioned in the policy guidance that you can switch from student visa to tier 1 ent 200k.

Yes i applied incountry

I coppied this from Policy guidance:

22. If you are in the UK with permission to stay as:
• a Tier 4 migrant; • a Student nurse;
• a Student; • a Student writing up a thesis;
• a Student re-sitting an examination; • a Postgraduate Doctor or Dentist;
you are allowed to make an initial application in the UK (including switching from one immigration
category to another)

Congrats for your Visa. did you get any letter from UK BA before your visa approval.

I assume , you are studying in London still even after getting this visa, If this is the case, then with out finishing the course in London,I assume you claimed points for your English base on degree which you completed already to obtain this visa. Please confirm

Do you have any dependents applied along with you and got this visa.

Visa refused

Post by penny1012 » Fri Mar 22, 2013 3:37 pm

I applied on the 6th September 2012(psw, all funds in uk), got refusal letter today(dated 20th match, I will appeal, was not awarded any points for funds in regulated institution and disposable in uk (75 points) even though I sent my bank statement from uk Barclays branch. The letter also says I have to leave the country immediately if I am not appealing. I guess am just unlucky.

I will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Hi Penny,

Sorry to here this.

Could you please let us know what documents you have attached to your application.

What is the exact reason for refusal ? why the hell they have not given the 75 points if you have hold the funds in your bank account and submitted bank statements as per policy guidance. Could you please reply at the earliest.

How many points are awarded out of 75 points. It seems you have not provided business activity contract to prove the trading. That is why they would have refused. Please confirm.

Did you get any query from UK BA before refusal
