ILR - 5 years issue due to late arrival

ILR - 5 years issue due to late arrival

My friend came to UK in 2008 and was given 3 years extention in July 2010.

When the current extention expires, there would still be 2 months left to compete 5 years to qualify for ILR.

Does he need to apply for extention? Experts help needed. Thanks.

Without exact dates of visa issue and entry to the UK it's not possible to comment.
