Proposed Civil Partnership visa

Post by patman1 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 9:42 pm

Hi
My partner wants to come and enter a civil partnership, how much should we have in general in savings. my partner has just finished studying and i'm on disability benefits i have around £2000 savings and he has around £2400 to come with in the bank, his flight is covered by his parents, but until he can apply for F.L.R after the civil partnership which will be within 4 weeks of the civil partnership, and then he can apply for work, i get over the £107 a week after rent/council tax etc from my disability benefits, but worried to how much he should have, his parents have said they will give him a letter and send there bank statements offering financial support and they will send him around 200$ a month, but can anyone offer any advice on this? we are very worried over the maintance test. thanks
