WP Visa and new passport

Post by Alishah » Sun Dec 20, 2009 11:28 am

Hi.
I came back to home with three years remaining WP visa on my passport, since my passport was to renew, and renewal was made in my home country.

Now; after a month I will be coming back to UK on new passport, old one attached with WP document part.

Please tell me; do I need anything else? or this is normal. I hear from someone that I need to send new passport to BHC to stemp the WP.

Advise please.

As long as you've got your old passport stapled/attached to the new with the leave to remain stamp on it, it should be OK for you to re-enter again.

I would however though confirm this by calling the UKBA helpline.

I have dropped an e-mail to UKBA e-mail address and waiting for answer. Thanks for your reply anyway.

I agree with Djzack...

As long as you carry both the passport's together you do not need to transfer it to the new passport..

First of all Thank you very much to all of you who read and respond to my message. I have found very good and detailed information on this case. You can view this at:
