Visa for parents

Post by Royk » Wed Jul 18, 2007 5:20 pm

Hi

I am new to this forum so apologies if this topic has already been covered.

I came to the uk 7 years ago. both myself and my wife have british nationality. We have a 3 bed house on Mortgage. I am on full time employment and have never taken any public funds.

What i wanted to ask was that is there any way that i can bring my parents over to stay on a permanent basis with me.

My Dad is 60 amd Mum in 55. They rely on both myself and my brother for financial support on a monthly basis and the i have kept receipts of all the funds that i have sent across to them over the past 2 years.

They have visisted uk on a number of occasions, for about 3-4 weeks.

Amy advise would be much apprecited.

Many Thanks

If you would go to the website, the rules state the following:
http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/lawand ... ules/part8

Parents, grandparents and other dependent relatives of persons present and settled in the United Kingdom
Requirements for indefinite leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom as the parent, grandparent or other dependent relative of a person present and settled in the United Kingdom

... Use the link, and see if they fit the criteria
