UK Visa for Russian who has Spanish Citizenship?

My girlfriend is a Russian who has lived in Spain for many years and has Spanish citizenship. She owns property there and also receives rental income from a property in Russia. However she still only has a Russian passport. Does she still have to go through the normal channels to get a UK visitor visa? Or does the Spanish citizenship make life easier?

What evidence of Spanish citizenship does she have?

Could this be one of those Spanish Golden Visas, essentially allows to buy citizenship but not with EU rights?

Ok she just sent me what looks like a residents permit. So perhaps it's not Spanish Citizenship. The card is entitled 'Permiso De Residencia'

Yes thank you. She has been there for 12 years so I found that she has the option to apply for Spanish citizenship.

Bearing mind if she does that she'll lose her Russian Citizenship.

Her Residencia doesn't enable her to enter the UK visa-free. Regarding Spanish citizenship, bear in mind that the process is an extremely lengthy one and can take between one and two years.
