Visa for spouse after landing

Post by fortordtwobucks » Mon Jun 25, 2007 6:08 pm

I am landing in the UK in August with EC under the HSMP. I did not declare my spouse on my original EC form. Is it possible to apply for this now? And if so how?

Thanks!

It should not be a problem, as HSMP assesment has no points around spouse and kids. But you need have an entry of your spouse and kids in your passport, and also marriage certificate and birth certificate of your kids at the time of applying for dependent visas.

However apply it after you sign off a job contract in UK, and with UK bank statements showing some money and with some utility bills on your name.

You should be fine.

By the way congrats for success.

best wishes

I am not sure that I follow that. The visas for the spouse and kids need to be in their own passports, not that of fortordtwobucks who posted the query.

I did not mean that kids visa should be on father's passport.

What I said was, father passport should have kids name, and wife name as observation.

Is that clear !!!

That's certainly not usual in all passports - my passport makes no mention of my son, for example. He has his own passport, and can't be endorsed on mine.
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.

Not necessary, unless the laws of the country which issued the passport specifically mention that as a mandatory requirement.
