Visa options

Hi,

I'm a Canadian, and I'm looking into one-year (possibly longer) visa options for Australia.

I'm finishing my journalism/public relations degree (both on AU's SOL list) this Spring and would like to get a job in PR in AU.

Should I:

a) try to get an AU employer to sponsor me before applying for any type of visa?

b) apply for a skilled - independent (migrant) visa (even though I may want only want to stay for a year or two)

Those are the only two options I have come across so far.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
