U.K visa refusal history now we are applying for settlement

Post by ukphobia » Tue Aug 10, 2010 10:33 am

I was denied U.K visa 3 times in 2005, first time it was on the grounds of my inability to establish a strong financial base to procecute the sponsorship of my education in the the U.K. The second was an indictment of an attempt to conceal my previous immigration history of a previous u.k visa refusal, i however made an appeal through a lawyer clarifying that the second visa application was made on my behalf by a so-called visa agent hence the distortion of my original information in that regard. In January 2006 I was issued a 6 months visa with the help of the airline i joined and we were sent to the U.K for a 4 week cabin crew training. i worked with the airline for about 32 months in which i entered the U.K at least once every week as cabin crew with the airline. In december 2008 my appointment with the airline was terminate along with so many other colleagues of mine because the airline had serious financial problems and had to cut down on the crew and also shot down its long haul routes. As at that time i still had a valid U.k visa which was to expire in april 2010 which i never used. then i met my wife who happens to be a british citizen here in Nigeria in October 2009 while she was on vacation, got married in decmber 2010, she left for the U.K in january 2010, came back in july 2010 and left in august. We have been planing on applying for the settlement visa since june of 2010 but we were waiting on her t-mobile call logs which never arrived before she came to Nigeria. Now that she has gone back, i am about to apply and i need some advice on documention and the appropriate additional information to be provided for the Consular's review. thank you very much for sugestions.

Hello

I picked it somewhere in this website. Hope it will help u for a start
Keep searching in this website , there r really useful information.

Don t worry about ur denials , they will not affect ur spouse visa application but don t forget to mention them.

[quote]

You and your sponsor (spouse) should read this document and ensure each of you provide the correct documents

A spouse visa is issued to applicants who have married a British citizen (or the person is a permanent resident of the UK)

It is issued by the British High Commission/Embassy where the applicant has a claim to normal residence or citizenship.

The visa itself runs for 27 months and is probationary.
During the probationary period, the applicant cannot seek access to public funds (See list below of what are termed as “public fundsâ€
