Hi, currently living and working in USA. I'm currently on L2 visa with EAD card, how do i stand if my partner returns to home country? Whats my next step to stay legal?

Any other options? Can i apply for green card anyway? I realise it may take upto 5 years, and is there a point in that process that allows you to reside in USA if/when approved?
