Hi,
I'm stuck in abit of a dilemma at the moment.
I want to call my in-laws from Pakistan, my mother-in-law and also my sister-in-law. My father-in-law passed away around 5 years ago.
1. The deeds for the property in Pakistan still remain in my father-in-laws name, my mother-in-law wasn't too aware of all the laws and failed to transfer the property deeds to own name. Is it compulsory to have these deeds transferred to my mother-in-laws name in order for her to visit me in the UK ? (I've been informed that the in-laws need to show they own something in order for the application case to be strong)
2. Due to my mother-in-law being blind in one eye, and with old age, she needs assistance with her mobility, thus my sister-in-law supporting her during her visit. Is this a valid reason for someone to visit the UK ? (My partner cannot support (walking her/etc) her mum during the stay as my own son has a disability so she supports him). She is single, unemployed and has no marital commitments. Again I support her through the maintenance money which I send back home.
3. My mother-in-law is a widower, therefore she doesn't have much saving or an income, I support the family but sending regular maintenance money. Do we need to show bank statements for the past 3 months for my mother-in-law ? or can we state that I support her ? Do we have to show evidence of this also ? (I don't want to present a weak case when submitting my documents)
4. I own a property in the UK, however I don't live in that property, it's rented out to tenants, the rent is paid to my father and I have no say in that matter. The property that I live in belongs to my mother and my sister (jointly named in the title deeds). I don't pay rent at this property, and don't have a tenancy agreement, I just the bills. I don't get on with my parents, but I have been informed that I need their permission in order to have my in-laws visit and to stay with me. I spoke to an immigration solicitor who said they need a copy of the title deeds of where I currently live along with a letter from the joint owners. Obtaining permission from the joint owners will be difficult for me, and know that my mum will be against me calling my in-laws over. Is there another legal way for me to provide this information ??
I want to ensure that my application is successful and that my in-laws intention is to go back as a majority of family are all there.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Amir.
