You need to show that you have funds to pay all the costs of the visit. A payslip (you used the term in thd dingular?) will not do that. The ukba assume most visitors use credit and atm cards when in the UK so they do not necessarily need to see a cash lump sum, but they will expect to see a historical cashflow in your statements. Three months would be the minimum, six is better.

I am British too but I know for fact a fact that because I have not lived in the UK for the previous 12 months, I am not automatically entitled to the full range of NHS services. Unless your child is returning to take up permanent residence, she is restricted to A & E rather than treatment of a pre-existing condition. Has a UK hospital actually agreed to treat her under NHS and if so do they know the full aspects of her residence status? This restriction applies irrespective of her nationality.

So, even if your British wife and child argue that they are going there to settle and are entitled to full NHS cover, that will make your position weaker as your family ties to your existing home will appear diminished. Your very strong ties to your home that might motivate your return must be shown. As it stands you appear to be a heath tourists and that is not permitted. You are in a very difficult situation.

But that does not detract from the facts. She is a health tourist because she is not habitually resident in the UK, whether she is British or not. If this comes out it will be an issue; not for her because she is a minor. You will have to bear the brunt as the only workaround is to say they are settled. You may not get a visit visa if your family is settled. Do you see the dilema?
