visit visa for a uk spouse visa with pakistani passport

hi i hv a uk passport but my wife has a pakistani passport with a uk spouse visa which expires in july 09 we wanted to go on holiday on 10 march 09 can any one advise us which country will issue a visit visa on the day or a visa free country for a short stay 7 days

Maybe apply to the French Consulate for a Schengen visa? But do make the application soon ... while at least 3 months remain on the current UK visa.
