UK Visit Visa from Delhi Delay

Hi,

I have applied for my parents UK visit visa short term less than 6 months from New Delhi on 11th Aug 2015 but still not got any response barring first day SMS wherein document has been sent to UK embassy.
Anyone else seeing any delay in this Category of Visa .

Also previously we could check status online but looks like there is no option now and we can only get
SMS alert.Is anyone aware of any other means to check status?

Hi,

Just to update we received visa for my parents Today .
Only thing we gave travel date as 1st oct 2015 but we got visa starting 25th Aug 2015 .
Normally whenever i applied previously i got visa starting from date of travel .
Is this expected or anything can be done on this ?
