Visitor visa for parents

Post by doctor4u » Thu May 15, 2025 11:20 am

Hi,

I am applying for a visitor visa for my parents and in-laws. I recently received British citizenship, but before taking a scan of my citizenship certificate, I submitted it at the post office to apply for my British passport, which is currently being processed.

While filling out the visitor visa application, I am unsure what to list as my nationality, since I do not yet have either the citizenship certificate or the British passport in hand. Should I wait until I receive my British passport so that I can scan and send a copy to my parents and in-laws for their application? Or is it acceptable to proceed now, and if so, what should I indicate as my nationality in the application?

No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
