Visitor Visa - Photo requirement

Hi,
Does applicant need to submit physical photograph please? I can not see any reference to photos. Are they taken at VAC when giving biometrics please? Thanks

A photo is no longer required. My family recently applied at the India VFS office and did not carry any photo, and it was all good.
