Visitor visa rejected for my parents - No property

Hi,

I have applied for my parents visa couple of weeks ago and they have rejected their visa stating the following;

You have not given any up to date evidence of your personal and finanancial circumstances.
>> I think i have to submit the latest month bank statements (which i have not done last time)
I must look at all your cir cumstances when i assess your application for a visit visa.

You have not completed section 6.10 of your application form to say whether you have any property, assets or income and, if so shown evidence of this.
>> I am not sure what kind of evidence they need for this?? My parents are older (55 to 65 yrs).. they own house and property... do they have to produce those documents??? is that enough or anything else for this evidence.????

I am not satisfied that you plan to leave the uk at the end of your visit or that you hre genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a period not exceeding 6 months

>> What on earth should i show for this?? I cant book the tickets which cost me if those nuts reject the application again..

I'd fail you for not providing the above documents. The HO failed my application recently, and I had all the above submitted - shame they just couldnt be bothered to read it! I got them back though!!!

1) You need at least 3 months worth of bank statements, but I provided 6 months

2i) If you say your parents own their own home, just provide a copy of the paperwork that confirms that - easily available in India)

2ii) WHat is their source of income? Whatever it is, show evidence - eg letter from employer/rental income from property or land/their bank statements/Tax documentation/Pension details if retired etc etc etc

2iii) Just show them all the reasons that support the fact that they will return - eg family & economic ties to India. As for a family ticket, go online and 'reserve' a return flight (wont cost you a paisa) or get a quote from a travel agaent. It shows you are looking at the 'return' angle.

I can appreciate your anger if you submitted the above and they still rejected you on these points - but if you dont submit everything in its entirety, then what do you expect?

I've said it before - I'll say it again....Indians & Pakistanis dont take the application phase seriously.

>>>>>I have submitted my 8 months bank statements. Its just that i could not submit the last month because, I was in india in that month. And I have clearly mentioned in a note.

>> Actually, when someone is paying so much of money I think its not about taking the application seriously... Its about knowing the information about what evidences to submit and what not. No body wants to loose their money and get the application rejected...

They failed the application for a whole host of reasons.

1) Rather than saying 'I have not seen anyone submitting property docs. I went through some of the posts in Immigrationboards', how about providing them?? Other posters here may have water-tight cases where propert is not an issue.

The Home Office do not believe at this moment that your parents are going to return back home - DO WHATEVER YOU CAN; PROVIDE WHATEVER YOU CAN to prove them wrong!

2) Your mother doesnt work - so say she doesnt work! No need to make something up.

3) You have stated that your parents receive income from rented properties.

HO want to see evidence - you could be making it up. Deposits into the bank account dont prove anything in isolation. How tenancy agreements / rental agreements & contracts?

If its all 'cash in hand', then you need to get some paperwork in place - again, easily done in India. Might cost you to get done, but thats life.

4) Economic ties - refer them to your parents house / his rental properties / bank account / other assets (however insignificant they may be)

5) Family ties - if your parents have family - mention them (1 by 1 - who they are; what they do; how they are related to them; why they cant live without them and why your parents MUST return for them etc etc etc'

You have to take the application 100% seriously. It takes hard work and preparation. You provide everything you have and then find more.

a few months ago i had my in laws visit us for sometime. i provided copies of 3m bank statements. plus letter of support from me and my wife mentioning etails of suport and accomodation etc, copies of passport and hsmp visa for me and spouse and inlaws included letter from employer saying employed and duration of leave and when due back at work and also about tickets and travel insurance. one person was employed the other self employed so no details was provided. they submitted the documents at agency i was told which i assume was vfs. they got visa without having to go to embassy in a few days. same process for my spouse, got spouse visa thru vfs next day evening without needing to go to embassy a few years ago. as long as u provide adequate proof of adequate maintenence funds and accomodation requirements and also reason why they will return, i feel there shouldnt be any problems. i also had mentioned uk contact details in case they needed any further documentation, but they didnt ask for anything further. all visas at bombay vfs. infact i went to vfs ofice to collect details of appointment at embassy but was surprised to get passport back with visa stamped on it for spouse next day evening. not sure how many days it took my inlaws but it didnt take long and they didnt have to go to embassy as well.
